It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Brian McDowell. He passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the age of 75.
Brian was born August 28, 1948, to Ted & Mary McDowell. He was raised on a black angus and pig farm in Millbrook, Ontario, Canada. He moved to the U.S.A. to play professional hockey.
He was a builder of many beautiful homes in Jamesford Woods. He built his own home in Ida, Michigan, where he resided for 32 years with his wife, Sherrie.
Brian was an avid fisherman & hunter, happily sharing his techniques and secrets for catching the best walleye & the biggest buck! He owned and raced his horses for several years, racing in Toledo, Indiana, and Windsor.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Sherrie, daughter Amy (Jim), son Bill (Angie), grandchildren: Max (Lucy), Lucas, Addison, McKenna, and greatgrandchildren: Alia, Sofia, Jesus, and Odyn. He's also survived by his brother, Rod, and sister, Anne, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who live in Canada.
He was one-of-a-kind and a truly wonderful man. We will cherish our special memories forever and we will miss him every day.
